Hip Hip Hurray was based on 12th grade kids at a Delhi high school, and showed the issues that were faced by the youngsters including relationships, hopes, fears, and a lot more. The show was also notable for touching on sensitive topics like drugs and personal health, which were handled with a touch of humour to lessen their seriousness.
Tara was the first Indian daily soap opera that ran successfully for five years on Zee TV. The story of the show revolved around the struggles and aspirations of three urban women. 5. Pavitra Rishta
Pavitra Rishta featured Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande in the lead roles. Their on-screen chemistry won audiences’ hearts and created magic on the small screen. The story of the show was about a car mechanic, Manav, who falls in love with Archana, who is a homely girl. The show gained a lot of TRP and won hearts with its unique storyline.
6. Jodha Akbar
Jodha Akbar is an Indian historical fiction drama aired on Zee TV and was produced by Ekta Kapoor. It starred Rajat Tokas and Paridhi Sharma in the lead roles. The show focused on a political marriage of Jodha and Akbar who were from two different religions. Their love for each other changed the fate of India and brought its people together.
7. Ek Mutthi Aasmaan
Ek Mutthi Aasmaan was an Indian drama television show which featured Rachna Parulkar, Mehnaaz Maan, and Ashish Chaudhary in lead roles. 8. Doli Armaanon Ki
Doli Armaanon Ki featured Mohit Malik and Neha Marda in lead roles. The story was about Urmi, a young girl who had several dreams about her marriage. Urmi got married to Samrat who was an arrogant male chauvinist and used to abuse his wife. After suffering a lot in the marriage, Urmi walks out from the marriage and becomes a successful, independent woman.
9. Jamai Raja
Ravi Dubey, Nia Sharma, and Achint Kaur featured in the lead roles in Jamai Raja. The show premiered in 2014 and ran successfully for 3 years. It became a quiet success and the makers launched a second season of the show.
Begusarai show featured Shweta Tiwari, Shivangi Joshi, Satraj Gill, and Vishal Aditya Singh in lead roles. The show was shot in Bihar and showcased how a man in Begusarai has to battle for his zar, zoru and zameen. In 2014, the show took a 20-year leap, now focusing on the story of Bindiya Thakur. Bindiya was an independent female who took care of 5 sons and was paranoid that another woman would come between her and her sons.
