These Celebs Deserve A Holiday On Labour Day For Doing All The House Work During Lockdown

From Katrina Kaif to Karanvir Bohra, this Labour Day we want to tell all the celebs doing jhadu-pocha, bartan-kapda, to take the day off

Labour Day Story for celebs in coronavirus

It’s Labour Day today, (firstly, it’s amazing that we are still keeping a track of the days during this lockdown!). Celebrities have been going on a video and photo posting spree of them doing everyday housework work in their own homes. That only goes on to prove that these celebrities are just like us aam junta. We’ve put together some good, some funny and some useful clips of the celebs doing ‘hard labour’ at home and yes! they deserve a break today.

Katrina Kaif the Fitoor girl posted videos of her washing utensils and sweeping the floor in her house and the videos spread quicker than the virus itself. She made fun of her own attempts at cleaning, but also shared useful tips on how to save water while washing utensils.

Nushrat Bharucha who was last seen in Dream Girl, shared a clip of her cleaning kadipatta at home with her mother and daadi, and we couldn’t relate more. That reminds me, I have to clean some green peas.

Kanika Mann who plays the role of Guddan, the clumsy girl who doesn’t know how to cook in the show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, is using this lockdown to hone her cooking skills. This marathon roti-making session will surprise you!

Rajeev Khandelwal (Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala, Heartbeat, Ateet) might be relaxing at his holiday home in Goa but he still has to clean his pool, and pluck mangoes from the trees.

Daily errands.. Or should we say improvisation?

Vivek Dahiya of State Of Siege: 26/11 fame and wife Divyanka Tripathi (Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala) are upto all kinds of crazy things during the lockdown. Divyanka Tripathi turned a barber at home, and gave her husband something we all will need after the lockdown ends; a haircut!

Karanvir Bohra (The Casino) is doing his part in helping out at home by sweeping the floors, feeding the kids. He also asked all men to help their wives with household work.

Vinny Arora Dhoopar and hubby Dheeraj Dhoopar (Kundali Bhagya) are spending some quality time under lockdown. By the looks of it, Vinny seems tired of cleaning, but has picked up karaoke singing to keep her going.

Hina Khan (Hacked) is working out, cooking and sanitising her vegetables and fruits before using them. She is not leaving anything uncleaned in her house  and can even be seen scrubbing the house carpets.

Malaika Arora has been honing her cooking skills and obviously working out during the lockdown. However, we can’t help but notice her ‘JOMO’ – Joy of missing out t-shirt, which is just perfect for the lockdown.

I love to cook! I love cooking for my family and friends but with my busy schedule, I hardly get time to pursue this passion of mine. But with this self isolation upon us, I thought of utilising this time in a constructive and healthy way by cooking some sumptuous and delicious 'Malabari veg stew for the soul'. I have got this recipe from mom @joycearora and a bit from my friend Maunika @cookinacurry who's a lovely cook. Everyone at home simply loves this stew and we are going to have it with some white rice and some delicious gluten-free, vegan chickpea bread that my friend Raveena @iamayogisattva made for me. M in for a lovely treat, I hope you too utilise this time to do something positive and healthy. Stay calm and stay safe! #stayhome#quarantine #covid_19

Twinkle Khanna (Pad Man) has turned a farmer and started growing her own spinach during the lockdown. She might just come out of the lockdown looking like Popeye. What say?

Deepika Padukone (Tamasha)is cleaning her house the Marie Kondo way. She is labelling everything, and keeping the things that bring her joy, while getting rid of things that don’t. We can only wonder what this label on Ranveer Singh‘s forehead might mean.

On a more serious note, we would like to thank and honour the people who are working even on Labour Day. This includes doctors, sweepers, police officers, caretakers, hospital staff, etc. and everyone else battling the Coronavirus outbreak.
