PROJECT DETAILS – CHAMP CODER

Entries are invited across 3 age group categories. We have defined 2 problem statements per category from which a participant can choose. Also the assessment criteria, expected output, suggested coding platforms and submission protocol is mentioned. For any queries, please write to zeetvapac@zee.com

  • INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL AGE GROUPS:

Ideas are all around you. Observe and think carefully. Think about different TV shows, movies, books, and games. Think deeply about what problem are you trying to solve and for whom. Discuss with your friends and family members and finalize your idea. If your idea is NOT brand new and you are taking an existing idea, please make sure that you improve upon it in a way that is completely new. Only submit original code, please do not remix projects or copy code.

  • Most importantly, have fun!

 

  1. Age Group: 8- 10 yrs
    • Problem Statement (Choose any one of the two statements)
      1- How can people stay safe during a pandemic like Covid-19?
      2- How can we protect waterways like canals, rivers, and oceans from getting polluted?

 

  • Assessment Criteria
    1. Theme: How well aligned is your project with the theme?
    2. Code: What types of code blocks and coding concepts you have used?
    3. Creativity: Is your solution creative and original?
    4. Clarity: Is your project clear and easy to follow? Have you included instructions with your project?

 

  • Expected Output: Game, Animated story, Awareness campaign

      1- How can we help our friends stay safe online?
      2- How can we develop a solution that helps people recycle easily and effectively?

 

  • Assessment Criteria
    1. Usefulness: Is your project addressing the chosen problem? How effective is your solution?
    2. Technical accomplishment: What type of programming language and coding concepts have been used?
    3. Creativity and originality: Is your solution creative and original?
    4. Clarity: Is your project clear and easy to follow? Have you included instructions with your project?

      1- How can we make lives of people easier who are quarantined during Covid 19 pandemic?
      2- How can we reduce food waste in Singapore?

 

    • Assessment Criteria
    • 1. Usefulness: Is your project addressing the chosen problem? How effective is your solution?
      2. Technical accomplishment: How much technical effort was put into creating the prototype? How developed is the design and user experience?
      3. Creativity and originality: Is your solution creative and unique? If you are improving on an existing idea, how much improvement have you
      made if your prototype is similar to a solution that already exists?
